Product Specification
The moisture separator is an essential device in the gas piping for removal of extra water or any fluid carried by the gas. If the water is not removed then it may spoil the instruments downstream.
Moisture separator is used for the separation of moisture in the two-phase flow. Moreover the gas becomes acidic after the H2O and H2S combines and start corroding the piping and equipments. The removal of water thus helps in reducing the corrosion, controls problems and improves the utilization efficiency of the biogas.
The moisture separation is achieved by the following methods
Impingement action
Centrifugal action
Combination of above
In the impingement method the gas is allowed to hit the wall at a high speed thus separated due to inertial action.
In the centrifugal method the gas is made to rotate at very high velocity. The vapors are separated by centrifugal action. The vapors thus separated coalesce to form droplets. These droplets get accumulated in the reservoir in the moisture separator. Many design available based on the requirement of the system.
The auto drain valve (Mechanical or electronic type) removes the water accumulated.
